Preparing a pancake mixture should be one of the simplest ventures in the kitchen, but the fact is that it gives many people headaches.
Soft, frothy and light pancakes are hard to achieve if you don’t have a good pan and a good recipe. We bring you a recipe from the kitchens of our grandmothers that is simple and after which you will not look for better.
Ingredients for pancakes:
250 g flour (half smooth and half sharp)
350 ml of milk
1 dl of mineral water
2 teaspoons oil
half a tablespoon of rum.
Preparation of pancakes:
1. Whisk the whole eggs, mix until you get a thick homogeneous mixture, pour in the oil, then the milk and mix.
2. Then, stirring constantly with a whisk, pour in the flour until you have used up the given measure, add a pinch of salt and a little rum just enough to give the mixture an aroma, and more importantly to prevent the oil from being absorbed.
3. If the mixture seems thick, dilute it with mineral water.
You can spread the pancakes with homemade strawberry jam without sugar and preservatives or with the famous hazelnut spread.
